May be taking my deposit back for the craziest reason

Have a deposit on a white, Overtrail, 5 seater. However. Doesn’t look like any LX model comes with a cargo cover. Deal breaker. Crazy, I know. I need a cover to avoid broken windows and stolen items. Not an option, unfortunately.
I’m shocked that this isn’t an option.

How hard would it be to kind of rig up your own with something off Amazon. I think it'd be pretty easy.

Ah I see what you’re saying.
I’ve noticed that the cutouts are in the photos I’ve seen for the rear (by the lift gate) of these cargo covers but not the front. Really odd.
I won’t be modifying a $115,000 vehicle to make this work. I find it really frustrating that I/we should even have too. This is basic stuff. I’ll find a different vehicles if need be.
I hope I’m wrong and this simple feature is available.

I wouldn't suggest modifying the vehicle. More likely having to modify the cargo cover But I understand what you are saying. They really should have one of those available... if not, I'm sure an aftermarket company will make one.

Chances of finding five seat Overtrail pretty slim anyhow. Like trying to find a moonroof delete GX. Lexus is going to be offering fully equipped/optioned units unless demand drops to the point where they begin accepting custom build orders. Wouldn’t hold my breath.

Yah, they've had a hard time keeping up with demand on a lot of models... I wouldn't expect the LX 700h to be any different. Not for a while at least

yeah mine is completely optioned out. as for the cargo cover, i'm sure you could maybe use a lx600 one.

Right now the only Lexus model that can be individually ordered is the LC. Everything else is built for dealer allocations. Very frustrating that a $100k+ vehicle cannot be individually optioned, but that is the Lexus business model.
